Its love his sex references and his whole delivery. BJ gives some great vocals, Ab gives his personality again and Jay's verse is one of the dopest on the whole album. This is a song about fcking a girl basically but the Way it is executed is really entertaining. JAY ROCK & BJ THE CHICAGO KID)Īnd this follows really well the more uplifting and playful vibe of SOPA. There were no other arists they would have executed this song in a more unique and pleasing Way. I think the bouncy and weird beat helps a lot for the whole vibe of the song. Q's verse is not genius at all, but it is entertaining as hell. They Just brag about their drugs and achieves until here. This song could have been much better sonically but the attitude and the personality both q and soul bring here, make this song alone amazing. Oh boy, I love the chemistry These dudes have. He Just raps about drugs, but in a really unique Way. Again I love how clever some of his lyrics are. Ab is on point, the beat is again really good and the hook is catchy as hell. Here Ab expresses his love for drug substances, bringing up the control theme really well here. Anna WISE killed it on the last hook with her vocals. Also the hook is emotional and the beat makes an amazing atmosphere. I love the ending line, conclusing the theme of the song "I'm saying we heard of Amber Cole, But we dont know that Lil nigga that was getting dome". His lyrics are fcking incredible especially the Way he ends his verses. I love the Way he brings the control theme, as we are controlled and labeled by the social commentary and stereotypes. Here Soul shows us a more sensitive and realistic view, telling us a story, giving us the Best Way possible the cons of Double standards portrayed in our society. Oh the beat is dark and makes a great atmosphere leaving space for Ab to do his thing. His lyrics are great and his delivery sounds flawless. Ab-Soul 's Wordplay is incredible and he continues the control theme, this time from drugs and from an inner power. Overall a fcking dope track.Īnd the dope continues. Also in 2nd verse Ab tries to kinda sound like Danny and he achieves it really well for me, making a great combination into the song. The dark beat with the back round vocals, Jhene's intro, the amazing hook, the incredible bragging verses by Ab and the dope Danny feature leaves an amazing Last taste as the last verse here. I dont hate it but it doesnt impress me at ALL. This is one of the most forgettable cuts imo. The beat is kinda weird but nothing amazing, the verses in context are really good with some great references and a idgaf attitude, but the hook for me is really meh. And despite I find it kinda uninspired sonically it has kinda grew on me. His bars are on point and Hard hitting and his rhymes are tight af. ![]() Good production, clever lyrics bragging about him self and a powerful chorus by Soul him self telling u what u need to know about him. ![]() Maybe it isnt as dark as other cuts but Ab soul still sounds braggadocious and thirsty for Hard bars. Overall this is a solid track which prrpares u really well about the album. Not the perfect intro but for me it sets perfectly sets the tone, both musically and thematically, with a futiristic and psychedelic beat with a Janet Jackson sample, two good and a 3rd phenomenal verse bragging about his skills full of clever Wordplay and bringing the control theme and an amazing chorus by both Soul and Jhene Aiko. But other than that I had no idea what this would sound like, and thank god I listened to it, this is an amazing project. I had no idea about his music, I had only listened to Illuminate which I found amazing and his verse on Section 80 2hich was good too. ![]() This is my first experience with Ab Soul.
